Technical Specification: Engineering PE for Performance
Polyethylene (PE) is the most versatile polymer in packaging, but selecting the right grade and density is critical for product stability. At Golden Soar, we engineer our PE solutions based on three critical pillars: Density, Process, and Decoration.
1. HDPE vs. LDPE: The Density Spectrum
High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) ranges from 0.93 to 0.97 g/cm³. Its linear molecular structure provides high tensile strength and rigidity. It is the material of choice for large volume containers (shampoo, laundry detergent) requiring stacking strength. Its semi-opaque nature offers a natural UV barrier.
Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) ranges from 0.91 to 0.94 g/cm³. Its branched molecular structure prevents tight packing, resulting in high flexibility. This makes LDPE the only viable option for “squeezable” applications like lotion tubes, eye drops, and travel amenity bottles.
2. The Science of Stress Cracking (ESCR)
Environmental Stress-Cracking Resistance (ESCR) is the single most important metric for B2B buyers of PE packaging. Surfactants found in shampoos and soaps can act as stress-cracking agents, causing bottle failure over time. We adhere strictly to ASTM D1693 protocols, testing notched samples in 10% Igepal solution at 50°C. We guarantee our bottles withstand >168 hours of exposure, ensuring shelf stability for 2+ years.
3. Decoration & Surface Energy
PE is non-polar, meaning ink does not naturally adhere to it. To solve this, every bottle coming off our line undergoes Flame Treatment 또는 Corona Discharge. This oxidizes the surface, raising the surface energy to >38 dynes/cm, allowing for permanent bonding of silk-screen inks and hot-stamping foils.
What Our Clients Say
“The ESCR performance of Golden Soar’s HDPE bottles solved a major leakage issue we had with our previous supplier. Their technical team really understands surfactant chemistry.”
– Procurement Mgr, UK Skincare Brand
“We switched to their 50% PCR-PE bottles. The color match was incredible—virtually no grey tint. It helped us meet our sustainability goals seamlessly.”
– Founder, Clean Beauty Startup
“The soft-touch varnish on their LDPE tubes feels very premium. It completely elevated the perception of our hand cream line.”

PE Packaging FAQ
For custom Pantone colors, our standard MOQ is 10,000 pieces per SKU. This ensures the machine purge waste is minimized and costs are amortized effectively.
Yes. We have 3-layer and 5-layer co-extrusion capabilities. We can add a barrier layer (EVOH) for oxygen-sensitive products, or a soft-touch outer layer for tactile appeal.
Absolutely. We are GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified. We provide Transaction Certificates (TC) for every order containing PCR material, proving the recycled content source.
For extrusion blow molds, the timeline is: 3-5 days for drawing, 20-25 days for mold fabrication, and 5 days for T1 sampling. Total about 30-35 days to first sample.
